Social and women’s development fraternity
Kappa kappa gamma or KKI is a women’s fraternity for college which was founded at Illinois in Monmouth College but the groundwork of this organization was developed very early in 1869. Its mission is to seek lifetime friendship, mutual support, self growth opportunities, respect for intellect and positive ethical principles for its members throughout their life.
Kappa Alpha Theta was founded on 27th January of 1870, at DePauw University and it was the first Greek letter fraternity for women’s. It is an international women’s fraternity which currently has 128 chapters at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada with total initial membership of 210,000 members. It was the first fraternity for women in Canada which establish a chapter there and the first women who were admitted to Phi Beta Kappa were Thetas, which is an international organization with college and alumnae chapters.
Tau kappa epsilon was founded in 1899 at Illinois Wesleyan University with chapters in the USA, Canada and had an affiliation with a German fraternity system which was known as the Corps of the Weinheimer Seniron Convent. It is all about believing in love, loyalty, worthiness, dignity, judging correctly, upholding fraternity’s tradition, truth, wisdom, charity, esteem and brotherhood in the members of the fraternity.
